“Transition 2025” Resource Fair for Students with Disabilities in Godfrey
Free event for students with disabilities and their families to learn about self-advocacy, employment services, college and other transition options
The Madison County Transition Planning Committee and Lewis & Clark Community College invite you to attend “Transition 2025” on March 13 from 1:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The event is free and open to anyone who would like to learn more about options for transition to adulthood, employment, college, housing and more.
Attend workshops and talk with representatives from various organizations serving people with disabilities. Be sure to stop by the Division of Specialized Care for Children (DSCC)’s display. Our team can answer your questions about our programs and share our Transition Toolkit (the Transition Toolkit is also available in Spanish).
Workshops will run from 2:45 to 6:15 p.m. Topics will include:
- Adult services
- Autism awareness
- Accessing employment services
- Guardianship and special needs trusts
- Supported decision-making
Participants can also enjoy food, a chance to win prizes and free child care.
