“Red Kite Workshop: Creating Characters Fall 2025” in Chicago
An introductory acting class for young people ages 10 to 15 on the autism spectrum
The Chicago Children’s Theatre will host the “Red Kite Workshop: Creating Characters Fall 2025” from Oct. 5 through Dec. 14. Classes will meet on Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. No class on Nov. 29.
This introductory acting class is for youth on the autism spectrum. Young actors can take the stage as a wide range of characters!
Step into someone else’s shoes and develop skills in:
- Performing confidently in front of others
- Using body, gesture and dialogue to create a new character
- Communicating and listening as an ensemble
- Making imaginative choices
- Having a ton of fun!
The final class will be a mini-performance by the students showing off their character creations to family and friends.
