A free opportunity for new parents to network with other families, registered dieticians and vendor representatives who support the PKU and allied disorder community

Phenylketonuria (PKU) Organization of Illinois & Allied Disorders will host the “New Parent Café” on March 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Naperville Alive Center.

Network and learn from other families with phenylketonuria (PKU) and other allied disorders.

Join fellow caregivers, registered dietitians and vendor representatives to discuss managing a low-protein diet.

Topics may include:

  • Breast and bottle feeding
  • Weening and solid foods
  • Picky toddlers
  • Childcare and managing the low-protein diet

The event is free for parents, relatives and caregivers of children from birth to age 5 who need a low-protein diet.
