The Transforming Lives webinar series provides information to help people navigate a cleft lip and palate diagnosis and better understand treatment options.
myFace star Abby Rucker will host this educational session. The panelists will be Roberto Flores, MD, and Meg Lico, MS, CCC-SLP, from New York University (NYU) Langone Medical Center in New York, N.Y.
They will discuss:
- The definition of cleft lip and palate and when it can be prenatally diagnosed
- Pre-surgical orthodontic management options
- Possible surgical procedures children with cleft lip/palate may need
- Speech and feeding challenges some children with a cleft palate may face
