Geometry is all around our children.
Join STAR NET Family Resource Specialist Roseann Slaght and STAR NET Regions I and III Early Childhood Resource Specialists Marc Baxter and Sherial McKinney to explore the many ways to introduce geometry to young children.
The presenters will cover:
- Ideas, strategies and materials to help children understand geometric concepts in developmentally appropriate ways
- Creating opportunities to learn about shapes and spatial relationships
- Adapting materials and strategies to meet the needs of all children
The presenters have decades of experience helping young students and their families across many cultural, socioeconomic and inclusive backgrounds learn and grow together.
The webinar is free. General educators, paraeducators, family members and family educators are welcome to attend.
