McLean County District Unit 5 Meal Distribution
Providing grab-and-go breakfast and lunch.
Meal Distribution for Bloomington School District 87 Students
District 87 will provide grab-and-go meals to any student in need at several locations in the community using school buses.
Menard County Housing Authority – Housing Choice Voucher Program
The Menard County Housing Authority will begin accepting pre-applications for the Housing Choice Voucher Program (Tenant-Based Vouchers).
The letter waitlist will open Feb. 15 and close at 3 p.m. on March 1, 2021.
The areas covered include the following counties: Alexander; Bond; Casey, IL; Clinton; Coles; Crawford; Douglas; Fayette; Jackson; Jasper; Livingston; Macoupin; Massac; Menard; Monroe; Moultrie; Perry, Pulaski; Randolph; Scott and Wabash.

Mid Central Community Action (MCCA) can provide resources to help individuals and families that have been affected by the COVID-19 crisis build stability and sustainability.
MCCA provides workshops and services to help with:
- Job training and finding employment
- One-on-one financial coaching, credit counseling and education (in Bloomington)
- Building credit, savings and assets
- Applying for programs such as food stamps, utility assistance and affordable health insurance as needed
- Supporting victims of domestic violence
- Foreclosure intervention and solutions
- Housing for homeless individuals with disabilities
The free Mobile Rx Pantry Program in Freeport distributes healthy produce, milk, eggs, and frozen and canned meats to participants who may be experiencing food insecurity.
The district is providing meals for their students, as long as you have an enrolled child, along with breakfast and lunch for any siblings that are 1 yr old or older.
Mother McAuley High School Summer Meals
We are excited to announce our pick up points for the Summer Food Service Program. Free meals are available to all children and young adults under 18 years old. Children need not be present at pick up, nor do they need to attend the school where pick up is made. There is a maximum of five meals per car.

Monday-Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.Northern Illinois Food Bank has launched My Pantry Express, an online source for groceries. The program allows families in need of food assistance to choose specific grocery items and pick them up at a preferred participating location.
Pickup locations are available in the following counties: DeKalb, DuPage, Lake, Will, Winnebago.
Navigating Financial Health During Difficult Times
The National Disability Institute (NDI)’s Financial Resilience Center provides resources and assistance to help those with disabilities and chronic health conditions navigate financially through difficult times, like the COVID-19 crisis. The website features videos and resources on topics including employment and unemployment, public benefits, housing, managing money and Social Security benefits.
NDI’s Financial Resilience Center also includes:
- The “Faces of Financial Wellness” video series featuring individuals from Illinois sharing their experiences in Spanish
- A financial wellness toolkit in English and Spanish/ Recursos en Español
- Videos and financial resources designed for individuals who are deaf and hard-of-hearing
