 bility and evaluation with presenters Megan Mutti\, Executive Director of 
 Family Matters Parent Training and Information Center\, and Karrie Potter\
 , Family Matters Educational Support Coach.\n\nMegan and Karrie will walk 
 participants through topics\, including:\n\n 	Identifying three key steps 
 in the Illinois special education eligibility and evaluation process\n 	Di
 stinguishing the core difference between a medical diagnosis and education
 al eligibility\n 	Listing the 14 Individuals with Disabilities Education A
 ct (IDEA) disability categories used for eligibility in Illinois\n 	Recogn
 izing three common barriers and potential solutions during the evaluation 
 process\n 	Understanding two key issues to consider in exploring Independe
 nt Educational Evaluation (IEE) options\n\nMegan is a 2023 Illinois Partne
 rs in Policymaking Program graduate and a 2020 Family Fellow of the Leader
 ship Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (LEND) Progr
 am at the University of Illinois Chicago. Megan is also a Charting the Lif
 eCourse Ambassador and a strong proponent of effective person-centered pla
 nning practices.\n\nKarrie has over 20 years of professional experience su
 pporting families navigating special education systems. She is also a pare
 nt of an adult child with a disability. She joined Family Matters in 2005 
 and serves families in 94 Illinois counties.\n\nThe webinar is free. It is
