DESCRIPTION:A free four-part webinar series to help parents and caregivers 
 of children with disabilities build confidence in supporting their child
 ’s education\n\nThe Family Resource Center on Disabilities' (FRCD) four-
 part webinar series will begin with a "Special Education Rights Overview" 
 on Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.\n\nThis session will focus on understan
 ding your child's special education rights under the Individuals with Disa
 bilities Education Act (IDEA).\n\nIDEA is the law protecting the rights of
  children receiving special education services. Understanding these right
 s is key to your child's educational journey.\n\nParticipants will discuss
  and explore:\n\n 	Your child’s right to free and appropriate public edu
 cation (FAPE)\n 	How to participate in creating your child's Individualize
 d Education Program (IEP)\n 	The importance of inclusion and Least Restric
 tive Environment (LRE) when appropriate\n 	Tips for participating in your 
 child’s educational journey\n 	Procedural safeguards protecting your chi
 ld’s rights\n\nThe webinar series is free. Parents\, caregivers and prof
