DESCRIPTION:Free training for Illinois residents interested in becoming an 
 Educational Surrogate Parent for children with disabilities\n\nWould you l
 ike to make a difference in the life of a child with a disability?\n\nJoin
  the Family Matters Parent Training and Information Center for “Educatio
 nal Surrogate Parent Training” on Zoom. Educational Surrogate Parent (ES
 P) happens on the first Monday of each month from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.\n\nAn E
 SP provides advocacy and support at educational meetings for students with
  disabilities who are in the care of the state of Illinois or who don’t 
 have parent/guardian representation.\n\nIn addition to attending a trainin
 g session\, ESP requirements include:\n\n 	Completing all required paperwo
 rk\n 	Participating in a background check\n 	Communicating in a timely man
 ner with Illinois State Board of Education representatives and Family Matt
 ers staff as the program requires\n\nThere is a need for ESP volunteers in
