  in crisis\n\nThe Arc of Illinois' Family-to-Family Health Information Cen
 ter and Illinois Life Span Program (ILS) will host "Crisis Alternative Res
 ponse Evanston (CARE) Team\, City of Evanston" on Dec. 9 from 12 to 1 p.m
 .\n\n\n\nLearn about the CARE Team with Jeron Dorsey\, Deputy Director of 
 Parks and Recreation for the City of Evanston.\n\nEvanston’s CARE Team i
 s an alternative response program designed to reduce reliance on law enfor
 cement for behavioral health and social service calls. Jeron has been inst
 rumental in building partnerships and creating safer\, more compassionate 
 responses to individuals in crisis.\n\nThis session will provide informati
 on about CARE and the team’s role in approaching and serving individuals
  in crisis\, including:\n\n 	Situations involving individuals with intelle
 ctual and developmental disabilities (IDD)\n 	Family calls regarding child
 ren or adults with IDD\n 	Lost or confused individuals\n 	Community member
  reports of unusual behavior\n\nThe webinar is free and open to any commun
 ity members who want to understand the CARE Team's role in helping people
