DESCRIPTION:A virtual conference exploring symptoms\, diagnosis and treatme
 nt\, and resources for people with intellectual and/or developmental disab
 ilities (IDD) and mental health challenges\n\nThe Arc of Illinois will hos
 t its virtual "Resources and Support for Individuals with IDD and Mental I
 llness" conference on Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.\n\nThe conference will
  focus on individuals with IDD and co-occurring mental or behavioral healt
 h disabilities (dual diagnosis).\n\nPresenters will cover a wide range of 
 topics including:\n\n 	Crisis intervention and de-escalation\n 	Real world
  advocacy\, insights and support strategies from a passionate self-advocat
 e\n 	The history of treatment and understanding the importance of an accur
 ate diagnosis\n 	Cultural and ethical considerations in treatment\n 	Preve
 nting suicide risk in people living with autism or intellectual disabiliti
 es\n\nAttendees will leave the conference with strategies and tangible res
 ources they can use for those they support.\n\nThe cost for The Arc of Ill
 inois members is:\n\n 	$60 for self-advocates/family members\n 	$110 for p
 rofessionals\n\nThe cost for non-members is:\n\n 	$90 for self-advocates/f
