DESCRIPTION:Free virtual three-part book study providing in-depth informati
 on on children’s executive function skills and strategies for supporting
  them in the classroom and throughout the day\nSTAR NET Regions I &amp\; I
 II will host a virtual book study webinar series\, &#8220\;Organized and E
 ngaged: Simple and Effective Strategies to Support Executive Function.&#82
 21\; The three-part series will be from 4 to 5 p.m. on:\n\nFeb. 5\nFeb. 19
 \nMarch 5\n\n“Organized and Engaged: Simple and Effective Strategies to 
 Support Executive Function” is a teacher-friendly\, easy-to-read book th
 at offers practical ideas and strategies for supporting executive function
  in early childhood classrooms and beyond.\nJoin STAR NET Regions I and II
 I early childhood resource specialist\, Sherial McKinney\, M.S. Ed.\, and 
 STAR NET family resource specialist\, Roseann Slaght\, for an in-depth loo
 k at children’s executive function skills.\nParticipants will complete r
 eading assignments and meet with Sherial and Roseann to take a deeper dive
  into:\n\nExecutive function and how it is defined\nSelf-regulation\nSpeci
 fic sensory play\nCognitive strategies to teach and support students’ ex
 ecutive function\n\nSherial has provided staff development and training op
 portunities for teachers\, support staff\, administrators and family membe
 rs at a variety of local\, state\, regional and national conferences.\nRos
 eann Slaght has worked at STAR NET for 23 years and is the mother of two a
 dult sons with disabilities. She embraces inclusive practices and finding 
 ways to support each child to develop their full potential and include par
 ents as partners in the learning process.\nThe webinar series is free and
