 west Suburban Special Education Organization (NSSEO) Parent Education Reso
 urce Center (PERC) for "Transition to Adulthood: When the Bus Stops Coming
 " on Jan. 29 from 1 to 3 p.m.\n\nThis workshop will focus on resources and
  strategies for helping elementary and middle school students build the sk
 ills they need to lead fulfilling lives.\n\nUsing best practices for perso
 n-centered planning\, speaker Teri Steinberg will provide parents with gui
 dance and strategies for for helping their children:\n\n 	Develop self-adv
 ocacy skills\n 	Build job readiness skills\n 	Prepare for and lead their b
 est lives\n\nSteinberg is a frequent lecturer\, facilitator\, consultant a
 nd trainer on disability issues. Her work focuses on helping transition pr
 ograms\, schools\, and families strengthen and support person-centered pla
