DESCRIPTION:Weeklong camp giving kids with Tourette syndrome ages 7 to 16 y
 ears old an unforgettable life-changing experience\n\nJoin the Tourette Sy
 ndrome Camp Organization (TSCO) for Tourette Syndrome Camp USA from June 2
 2 to 28.\n\nAt Tourette Syndrome Camp USA\, campers will enjoy:\n\n 	Meeti
 ng other kids who share similar experiences\n 	Experiencing an environment
  where their tics are accepted\n 	Exploring coping mechanisms in a positiv
 e and safe environment\n 	Swimming\, boating\, hiking and more\n\nThe over
 night camp is for children and youth ages 7 to 16 whose primary diagnosis 
 is Tourette syndrome (TS) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and to a
  lesser degree attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).\n\nThe TS 
 camp program takes place concurrently with a traditional YMCA camp. TSCO i
 s not a therapeutic program and there are some limitations in accepting ch
 ildren whose needs are beyond the scope of its design. The focus of the ca
 mp’s staff will be to provide general supervision with as much one-on-on
 e mentoring as the situation permits.\n\nIn addition to providing in-servi
 ces to all Camp Duncan counselors\, TSCO supplements the staff by providin
 g volunteer counselors who have TS or have experience dealing with TS. Cam
 pers must be able to handle routine daily living skills (e.g.\, dressing\,
  self-hygiene) and have the ability to function within a group setting.\n\
 nCampers who are 16 can become part of the Counselor-in-Training Program (
 CIT). These campers will be given leadership opportunities that will help 
 with a transition to possible future positions on our staff.\n\nThe cost i
 s $775 up to $925 per camper. Scholarships are available based on need. Se
