 n County Transition Planning Committee will host "Navigating Adult Disabil
 ity Services: Tips\, Tricks and Lived Experiences" on April 1 from 5 to 7 
 p.m.\n\nAre you supporting a teenager with intellectual or developmental d
 isabilities who is preparing for adulthood?\n\nJoin this in-person event f
 eaturing a panel of parents and siblings of loved ones with developmental 
 disabilities. Panelists will share tips\, tricks and lived experiences of 
 helping their loved ones navigate their transition to adulthood.\n\nThey w
 ill also discuss:\n\n 	Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Secur
 ity Disability Insurance (SSDI)\n 	Medicaid and Medicare\n 	Guardianship a
 nd alternatives\n 	Waiver services\n\nParticipants will leave with a deepe
 r understanding of:\n\n 	The different services\n 	When and how to apply f
 or them\n 	How to prepare your loved one for independence and success\n\nT
