SUMMARY:iCan Bike Camp 2025 in East Peoria
DESCRIPTION:Children with disabilities can gain confidence and independence
  by learning to ride a bike in just one week!\n\nEasterseals Central Illin
 ois will host iCan Bike Day Camp from July 21 through 25. Riders will atte
 nd one 75-minute session each day.\n\nUsing adapted bicycles\, spotters an
 d an encouraging environment\, this program turns “I can’t” into “
 I can!”\n\nFor five consecutive days\, children and youth ages 8 to 18 w
 ith disabilities will learn to ride a two-wheel bicycle. Camp staff will a
 djust the bikes during the week to help riders learn to balance\, gain imp
 ortant skills and discover the joy of riding.\n\nRider benefits include:\n
 \n 	Increased self-esteem and confidence\n 	Improved physical fitness\, me
 ntal health and overall quality of life\n 	Independent transportation and 
 inclusion opportunities\n\nCampers must have a disability and be between t
 he ages of 8 to 18 to participate. Other requirements include:\n\n 	Attend
 ing all five days of camp\n 	Having a minimum inseam of 20 inches\n 	Weigh
 ing less than 220 pounds\n 	Walking without assistive devices and being ab
 le to side-step to both sides\n 	Willing to wear a properly fitted helmet\
