SUMMARY:iCan Bike Camp 2025 in Chatham
DESCRIPTION:Children with disabilities can gain confidence and independence
  by learning to ride a bike in just one week!\n\nJoin SPARC\, Lincoln Land
  Down Syndrome Society and iCan Shine for "iCan Bike Day Camp" from July 1
 4 through 18. Riders will attend one 75-minute session each day.\n\nUsing 
 adapted bicycles\, spotters and an encouraging environment\, this program 
 turns “I can’t” into “I can!”\n\nFor five consecutive days\, chi
 ldren and youth ages 8 to 18 with disabilities will learn to ride a two-wh
 eel bicycle. Camp staff will adjust the bikes during the week to help ride
 rs learn to balance\, gain important skills\, and discover the joy of ridi
 ng.\n\nRider benefits include:\n\n 	Increased self-esteem and confidence\n
  	Improved physical fitness\, mental health and overall quality of life\n 
 	Independent transportation and inclusion opportunities\n\nCampers must ha
 ve a disability and be between the ages of 8 to 18 to participate. Other r
 equirements include:\n\n 	Attending all five days of camp\n 	Having a mini
 mum inseam of 20 inches\n 	Weighing less than 220 pounds\n 	Walking withou
 t assistive devices and being able to side-step to both sides\n 	Willing t
 o wear a properly fitted helmet\n\nA parent or guardian must remain on sit
 e during each session to help with your child if needed.\n\nLearn more abo

  Individuals with Down syndrome may be eligible for help with paying the r
