DESCRIPTION:A free community event for people of all ages and abilities to 
 raise awareness and provide information about Autism Acceptance Month and 
 Child Abuse Prevention Month\n\nThe Elgin Police Department and the Autism
  Hero Project will host the annual "Heroes Unite Autism Acceptance and Chi
 ld Abuse Prevention Celebration" on April 26 from 1 to 4 p.m.\n\nActivitie
 s will be both inside and outside of the City of Elgin Police Department.\
 n\nVisitors can:\n\n 	Spend time exploring activities\n 	Have fun together
 \n 	Raise awareness for people living with autism\n 	Learn how everyone ca
 n help prevent child abuse\n\nParticipants can sign up for Family Finder\,
  Premise Alert and Simulated Traffic Stops. Other activities will include:
 \n\n 	Sensory areas\n 	Family resources\n 	Games\, magic shows and bubbles
  galore\n 	Face painting and bounce house (weather permitting)\n 	Music an
 d entertainment\n 	Raffles and giveaways\n\nDivision of Specialized Care f
 or Children (DSCC) team members from our Lombard Regional Office will be t
 here to explain how we help children and youth with special healthcare ne
