DESCRIPTION:A free overnight camp for children ages 10 to 16 with Type 1 di
 abetes\n\nCamp BETA will be on Sept. 6-7. Campers will arrive at 9 a.m. on
  Sept. 6 and leave on Sept. 7 at 2 p.m.\n\nCamp Beta is a free overnight c
 amp for youth ages 10 to 16 with Type 1 diabetes. Opportunities are also a
 vailable for counselors-in-training for youth ages 16 to 17 with diabetes.
 \n\nCampers can build confidence\, make new friends and enjoy:\n\n 	Hiking
  and orienteering\n 	Boating\n 	Arts and crafts\n 	Archery\n 	Horseback ri
 ding\n 	Climbing wall\n\nThe camp is made possible by a collaboration of S
 outhern Illinois Healthcare\, the Diabetes Today Resource Team\, the SIU T
 ouch of Nature Environmental Center\, the SIU Dietetic Internship program\
