SUMMARY:C.E.F.S. Economic Opportunity Corporation Community Services Block 
 Grant (CSBG) Scholarship Deadline
DESCRIPTION:Applications are open for the 2025 CSBG education and training 
 scholarship through C.E.F.S. Economic Opportunity Corporation\n\nThe Commu
 nity Services Block Grant (CSBG) Scholarship is designed\, in cooperation 
 with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity\, to pro
 vide financial assistance to income-eligible students attending college or
  occupational training programs.\n\nC.E.F.S. Economic Opportunity Corporat
 ion will accept CSBG scholarship applications from eligible students in Cl
 ay\, Effingham\, Fayette\, Shelby\, Moultrie\, Christian or Montgomery cou
 nties through May 31.\n\nCSBG scholarships provide funds for:\n\n 	Educati
 on or occupational training in an accredited Illinois educational institut
 ion\n 	Short-term training (two years or less) in growth occupation skills
 \n\nApplicants must be:\n\n 	CSBG income-eligible (see application for gui
 delines)\n 	A resident of Clay\, Effingham\, Fayette\, Shelby\, Moultrie\,
  Christian or Montgomery county\n 	Enrolled\, or intending to enroll\, as 
 a full-time student for the fall 2025 semester in an Illinois-accredited c
 ollege. Full time is considered 12 hours or more.\n\nThis competitive scho
 larship is based on income and the interview process. Previous scholarship
  recipients are eligible to submit an application. All eligible candidates
  will be interviewed.\n\nVisit C.E.F.S. Economic Opportunity Corporation's
  website to learn more about the CSBG scholarship guidelines.\n\nDownload 
 the CSBG scholarship application. You must submit your application and all
  supporting documents to C.E.F.S. Economic Opportunity Corporation by May
