DESCRIPTION:Free in-person events for people of all ages to strengthen the
 ir American Sign Language (ASL) skills\, build connections and support lov
 ed ones who are deaf or hard of hearing\n\nMoraine Valley Community Colleg
 e's "Bee Connected: An American Sign Language (ASL) Family Event Series" w
 ill wrap up with a "Buzzworthy Storytelling Bash" on Sept. 6 from 11 a.m. 
 to 1 p.m.\n\nParticipants will experience the magic of storytelling in ASL
 .\n\nDeaf storytellers will bring children’s books to life in a way that
 ’s fun\, expressive and interactive.\n\nFamilies will enjoy meeting Deaf
  community members in a welcoming space and:\n\n 	Engaging in hands-on act
 ivities\n 	Learning new signs\n 	Leaving the event with many ideas for con
 tinuing learning at home\n\nThe event is free and open to the public.\n\nR
 egister online for the "Buzzworthy Storytelling Bash." Participants must r

 alley.edu.\n\nMoraine Valley Community College (MVCC) offers free American
  Sign Language (ASL) classes for families who have children ages birth thr
 ough high school who are deaf or hard of hearing. Deaf instructors teach t
 he classes in sign language and written English.\n\nMVCC serves residents 
 in Moraine Valley and Cook County.
